Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elliott Taylor, an American actor and stage actress and producer. She is most famous as an actress in films for her work on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an actor, writer and actress working on stage, in theatre as well as television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. She then appeared in various television series as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and accolades, among them an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut in The Tempest as Ariel. Her credits on stage include the Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her character as a regular in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
