Holden was raised in Portsmouth in Hampshire. She spent much of her childhood living in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine years old she was accepted into the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden has also appeared in TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. Holden was also participant in three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. In Ready When You Are Mr. McGill by Jack Rosenthal, she starred alongside Bill Nighy, Tom Courtenay and Aleha Dixon. Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are judges on Britain's Got Talent. She was a judge on Britain's Got Talent between 2006 to the year 2006.
